Park and recreation facilities are essential for our growing town, providing spaces for families and youth to engage in physical activity, connect with nature, and build a strong sense of community. These facilities enhance the quality of life by offering safe, accessible areas for recreation and interaction, fostering a healthy lifestyle for all residents. Annually, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation offer communities the opportunity to apply for their Healthy Places grant, where they work collaboratively with a community to design and build a playground. These playgrounds serve as a cornerstone for promoting wellness and togetherness in a community.
