Town Manager
The Town of Nolensville completed its extensive search for its next Chief of Police. Current Chief, Roddy Parker is set to retire after 46 years of service in law enforcement. The new Chief of Police will be Dale Armour. Chief Armour will start as the new Nolensville Police Chief on August 19th and will work closely with Chief Parker through the month of August, ensuring a smooth transition of leadership for the department.

Police Department
Next week school starts! We want to make sure you and your family stay safe as you go back to school. Police Officers will have an increased presence at schools the first few days to ensure traffic is flowing and pedestrians are safe. Please take time to discuss safety tips this weekend with your family. We encourage you to leave early, giving yourself enough time to get to school. Be alert and stay off your phone while driving or walking. Use pedestrian crosswalks safely by activating the crosswalk, looking both ways before entering a crosswalk and using eye contact with drivers/pedestrians while crossing. Please observe the school zones to avoid getting a ticket and to maintain a safe speed in these areas. We wish you a SAFE and FUN school year!

We are hiring! For more information or to apply, visit Job Opportunities here!

Fire Department
This week we responded to 37 calls for service, including one house fire from a lightning strike.

We had four members of our team attend advanced fire training in Aurora, Illinois while several others were at advanced EMT training in South Carolina. The Tennessee Fire Chief’s Annual Conference was this week as well. We had three members of our team attend.

Chief Windrow was elected as the chairman of the Tennessee Firefighting Personnel Standards and Education Commission. This 9-member board is appointed by the governor to oversee certification and minimum standards for firefighters across the state. The commission oversees educational incentive programs for career and volunteer firefighters and maintains the international accreditation process for certifications. Chief Windrow was originally appointed by Governor Haslam and was reappointed by Governor Lee. This is his eighth year on the commission.

It’s been about a month since we moved into our new station. The crews are still getting settled in and organizing their new home. Thank you to the community for the kind words, visits and support as we have made this move!

Save the date for our fire station open house Saturday October 5th from 9am-12pm. This family fun event will give residents the opportunity to tour the station, check out our apparatus, learn fire safety education from our crews and take pictures with our firefighters. Fire Prevention week is October 6th-12th and this open house is the perfect was to kick off the week together!
