Town Manager
The Town of Nolensville was recently given a grant from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation which is aimed at using State American Rescue Plan funds to implement water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure maintenance and improvement projects. We have selected a consulting engineering firm, Neel-Schaffer, Inc., to perform a Town-wide inventory and condition assessment of Nolensville’s stormwater assets, develop a Town-wide stormwater study, and develop plans for stormwater capital improvement projects resulting from the study’s recommendations. Teams of personnel will be seen around Nolensville collecting information on the Town’s stormwater system. They will be wearing bright-colored vests and carrying iPads and survey equipment to collect information on the storm infrastructure between March 20 and mid-June. The Town of Nolensville is pleased to announce its partnership with Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC) to assist in ensuring the accuracy of special census data. GNRC has finished their portion of the verification process and we are getting ready to submit our census to the state.
Police Department
This week, the Nolensville Police Department sent several officers to training on the use of equipment that we carry every day. Officers spent three days learning how to teach other officers on the use of de-escalation techniques and impact devices. Training our officers is very important to the department, our community, and the successful outcome of our mission.
On Thursday, Christina Sabol was sworn in as a new patrol officer for Nolensville Police Department. She is a 10-year veteran from a state highway patrol agency and holds a bachelor’s degree in emergency services management. Once Christina has completed her field training program, she will join our night watch patrol. Please help us welcome Christina to Nolensville!
Last night at the BOC meeting, Chief Parker officially announced his retirement after 46 years of service to Williamson County. As a recruitment for a new Chief begins, Chief Parker has committed to stay in Nolensville until his replacement is hired and transitioned into the new role. The impact that Chief has made on this Town will become his legacy for years to come!
Today Nolensville Police Department will help young students from Mill Creek Middle bike to school. We would like to thank the staff at Mill Creek Middle School for inviting us to attend this event. Developing relationships with the community is something that we value as a department!
Fire Department
This week Captain Adam Wynggard attended the 34th annual Congressional Fire Service Institute Conference in Washington D.C. The event focused on senior leadership topics in the fire service including cancer prevention, lithium-ion battery concerns, and AI integration in the fire service. Captain Wyngaard also had the opportunity to meet individuals serving in congress, discussing state and fire service concerns face to face with them. Attendance for Nolensville Fire staff at conferences is an opportunity for learning and growth but also paves the way for relationship building with other fire service leadership, providing a support network for our department. Thank you, Captain Wyngaard, for your commitment to Nolensville Fire and its continued growth!
This week, three of our fire personnel completed training for the national Stop the Bleed campaign. We are excited to bring this program to Nolensville in the future! Keep your eye on our social media for information on classes as they become available!

Engineering Department
At the end of April, the Town of Nolensville opened sealed bids for the construction of the right-turn lane on Nolensville Road at Sunset Road. We received four bids from the following construction firms: Sessions Paving, Civil Constructors, Jones Brothers, and Volunteer Paving. The bids are being reviewed for completeness and accuracy. Following the finalization of the bid tabulations, the lowest responsive bidder will be awarded the contract for this project.
A contract extension for the Historic District Streetscape project was submitted to the TDOT Local Programs Division due to the length of time needed to work through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) phase of the project.

This is your chance to safely dispose of your leftover or unwanted cleaning products, home maintenance chemicals, or lawn and garden products! It’s free!
